Delano, Montrose departments called for assistance

MARYSVILLE, TOWNSHIP, MN Fire heavily damaged a northern Marysville Township residence Thursday morning.
The home of Dan and Kim Mero was reported to be on fire by a neighbor who noticed the Bolton Avenue Southwest residence on fire around 9:45 a.m., according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office. The neighbor stated he did not know if anyone was home at the residence.
The sheriff’s office and the Buffalo Fire Department responded to the fire at the single family residence and determined that no one was at home.
The homeowner arrived at the scene a short time later and verified that nobody should be inside of the house with the exception of three pets that are believed to have perished in the fire, according to the sheriff’s office.
Fire departments from Maple Lake, Delano, and Montrose responded to the scene for additional assistance.
The investigation continues to determine the cause of the fire.
