DELANO, MN A groundbreaking ceremony was conducted Thursday for the Legacy of Delano, a new assisted living community.
“I’d like to thank the City of Delano,” said Legacy of Delano President Jeff Drown, “for all of their help in making the Legacy of Delano a reality.”
An informational meet and greet followed the ceremony at the Delano Senior Center.
Set to open in June 2009, there will be 53 units in the complex, including 16 memory support suites.
The assisted living apartments will be full-service, three meals per day will be served, and a nurse will be on staff daily.
Activities for residents will be available, transportation will be offered, and a barbershop will be on-site.
Tealwood Care Centers is the management company for the Legacy of Delano, and was formed in January 1989 as a long term care, for-profit company, dedicated to serving the needs of skilled nursing facility residents. Its goals go beyond taking care of the resident’s needs in a safe and comfortable environment.
One bedroom apartments start from $2,500, and two bedroom apartments start from $2,800 with memory support apartments also available.
A waiting list has been established. For more information, contact the Legacy of Delano at (763) 229-5437.
