Lester Prairie community Christmas Celebration set for Sunday, Dec. 6

LESTER PRAIRIE, MN – Music, food, a movie, and a visit from old Saint Nick are all part of the annual community Christmas celebration in Lester Prairie.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 6 at 4:30 p.m. in the school gym.

Santa will arrive at 4:30 p.m. via Lester Prairie fire truck, and will be available for photos with the kids.

Music will include Michael Merriman and his holiday favorites, as well as various school groups performing holiday music.

A dinner of sloppy joes, hot dogs, chips, pickles, and beverages will be available.

There will also be a bake sale sponsored by the after prom committee.

The afternoon will also include a raffle, with poinsettias and other prizes from local businesses being given away.

Raffle tickets cost $1 each, and will be available the day of the event.

There will also be arts and crafts sponsored by the Prairie Arts Council.

A showing of the movie, “The Santa Clause,” starring Tim Allen, will begin at 5:30 p.m.
