DASSEL-COKATO, MN - A 2006 Dove Award nominee, Robin Mark is coming to the Dassel-Cokato Performing Arts Center Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7:30 p.m., with proceeds benefiting Minnesota Disaster Relief.

A few years ago, Wayne and Kathy Murphy of Cokato saw Mark in concert at Grace Church in Eden Prairie. They liked both his message and his music so much that it has been their dream to have Mark someday perform in their own community.

“He’s just an ordinary guy who has a talent,” Murphy said, adding that Mark is truly a worship leader.

Mark’s five Integrity Music albums, “Revival in Belfast,” “Come Heal this Land,” “Revival in Belfast 2,” “Days of Elijah,” and “East of the River” have become best-sellers in America and throughout the world, reaching number one spots in praise and worship charts in five separate countries.

Mark just recently released his album “Years of Grace.” The title, “Year of Grace,” refers to the revival year of 1859 in Ireland, when over 100,000 people became Christians.

The new album and his book, “Warrior Poets of the 21st Century,” along with a music and story book from his last album, “East of the River,” will all be available.

Mark resides in Belfast, Northern Ireland and would prefer not to extol any of his own accomplishments, but rather what God can do through anyone who chooses to serve Him, according to his biography.

He serves in the roles of father, husband, university lecturer, businessman, emeritus director of worship, and music minister.

In the midst of all this, his one great desire is to serve God in whatever way he can, minister to the church at every opportunity and bless the greater Christian body and the world with whatever gifts God has bestowed on him.

Those interested in meeting Mark may come to the PAC early for a Bible study he will be leading from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Vendors, including Hojies Grill, Minnesota Disaster Relief, and area churches. Other corporate sponsors will also be present.

As a bonus, guest artist and DC graduate, Rachel Kurtz and her band will be opening the concert and performing with Mark.

Kurtz recently sang at a Christian youth gathering in New Orleans at the Super Dome in front of a crowd of 25,000.

Tickets for the concert are $12 and are general admission. They are good for the Bible study and concert.

To order, go to www.robinmarkconcert.com, or purchase through local churches, or at the door.
