DELANO, MN A large part of the staff at Delano Dodge has been laid off, with the final day for this group of employees March 10 at 5 p.m.
However, the dealership is remaining open and able to sell vehicles.
Co-owner Jeff Vanderlinde told the Delano Herald Journal that between the construction last year and the present state of the economy, the business is hurting, but he said the dealership will remain open.
“We are not closing the store today at 5 p.m.,” Vanderlinde said Tuesday. “We need to restructure and rethink our business plan.”
For the time being, Delano Dodge will not be taking service appointments, and will be operating with a smaller-sized staff, he said.
