MAYER, MN A benefit has been scheduled to help defray medical costs incurred by Montrose resident Dan Thaemert, son of David and Bonnie Thaemert of Hamburg, who was seriously injured in an automobile accident south of Winsted June 26.
The fundraiser is scheduled Saturday, Oct. 24 from 3 to 11 p.m. at the Mayer Community Center.
The event will incude a silent auction from 3 to 7 p.m., and a live auction at 7 p.m. There will be a bake sale from 3 to 7 p.m., and a pork and turkey dinner is planned from 4 to 7 p.m. The DJ, Mr. Bigg, will entertain from 8 p.m. to midnight. The cost for adults is $8, and $4 for children up to age 7.
Other plans include children’s tattoos and face painting, back massages, and a photo opportunity with two Vikings cheerleaders from 5 to 6 p.m.
