Kingston Twp. dust coats roads

With the bridge on Minnesota State Highway 24 out since June, some Kingston Township roads are getting more traffic than usual, Clerk Gail Schiefelbein said.

As a result, the township gave a second dustcoating to roads affecting eight residences.

The township also recently completed tiling on a few township roads, Schiefelbein added.

Collinwood Twp. to fix roads

Collinwood Township plans to complete a 2.2-mile road project this fall, Clerk Larry Ostlund said.

Knife River Corporation has a contract to add a road stabilization chemical to one mile of 190th Street and 1.2 miles of 185th Street, continuing to 715th Avenue.

The project has not yet been started, but has a completion date of Thursday, Oct. 15, Ostlund said.

“It goes pretty fast once they get started,” he said.

Dassel Twp. sets public hearing

A public hearing regarding assessments for 238th Street, 237th Street, and 727th Avenue in Dassel Township will take place Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m., Clerk Karin Colberg said. The regular meeting will follow.

Ellsworth road projects underway

The rebuilding of a portion of 640th Avenue in Ellsworth Township is moving ahead as scheduled, Clerk Gordy Seiffert said.

“The dry weather has helped,” he said.

Also, the replacement of the deteriorated 42-inch culvert under 215th Street has been completed.

Ellsworth Township supervisors decided to have gravel put on roads where it is needed.

In addition, supervisors decided to purchase a computer and printer for township business, Seiffert said.
