WRIGHT COUNTY, MN - Fair entries for the Wright County Fair this year will be one day earlier than in the past to ensure set-up is done in time for opening day Wednesday, Aug. 12.
All general exhibit and crop entries will be accepted Tuesday, Aug. 11 from noon to 9 p.m. in the general exhibits building.
Flowers must be in by 4:30 p.m. Judging will begin at 5 p.m.
Livestock entries, however, will remain on the same day, Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Entry forms are online at the Wright County Fair’s web site, www.wrightcountyfair.com.
Entry forms submitted before Thursday, July 16 will shorten the wait on entry day.
New to the entries this year is a large pumpkin contest, in which Jerry Quaal, fair board member, is hoping to see pumpkins weighing several hundred pounds.
There is also a new crops building for gardening products and entries.
