Middleville Twp. grants gravel mining CUP
Despite concern from residents, Marysville Township officials granted a gravel mining conditional use permit for Annandale Rock Products on the property of Roger Klugow, Clerk Joey Berg said.
“There was considerable opposition shown,” Berg said. “However, it is an allowable conditional use on agricultural land.”
At the April meeting, Jim Raymond was re-elected as chair of the board.
Middleville Township will also be having its own web site soon, Berg added.
Watertown Twp. cleanup May 1
Cleanup day for residents of Watertown Township will be Saturday, May 1 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the town hall and shop at 3580 County Road 10 North in Watertown.
The cost schedule will be available at the hall. For more information, residents can also call the hall at (952) 955-2446, or board member Si Tesch at (952) 955-1120.
Carver County Environmental Services will be present to collect hazardous waste, Clerk Ann Bruner noted.
Camden Twp. discusses flooding
At the April 8 Camden Township meeting, the board discussed the recent flooding.
“We had a number of roads that were damaged from the floods,” Clerk Roger Sauerbrey said. “Nine roads in Camden Township were closed, but some of them were county roads.”
The township is looking into repairing roads with frost boils, Sauerbrey added.
The board also approved the 2030 comprehensive plan for the township.
There will be a board of review meeting Thursday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. for residents who have questions or complaints about their taxes.
Hollywood cleanup day May 1
Residents of Hollywood Township are encouraged to participate in cleanup day Saturday, May 1 from 8 a.m. to noon at the township shed at 15855 County Road 122 in Watertown.
Also, Hollywood Township will be offering dust coating services to residents for 60 cents per foot this year, Clerk Becky Burns said. For more information, contact the township hall at (952) 955-3481.
