LESTER PRAIRIE, MN Lester Prairie native Angie Bagley is back in her hometown, and is now offering a full range of nail care services to area residents.
She will be doing business at The Hair Company at 32 Juniper Street in Lester Prairie.
Hair Company owner Tamara Vergin said Bagley will offer services that have not previously been available at the shop, which features hair care and tanning.
Bagley will offer both acrylic and gel nails.
She will also offer freehand nail art. She explained that some nail technicians use an airbrush to create nail art, while she does freehand designs to create custom looks.
Bagley is a 1997 Lester Prairie graduate.
She has left Minnesota a couple of times, and has lived in Las Vegas and California, doing office work, including a position as assistant to the president of a casino.
Bagley is back in Minnesota, partly because she thinks it is a good place to raise children, and partly because she is “a big fan of snowmobiling and ice skating with her 5-year-old daughter.”
She said she did find one skating rink in Las Vegas, but it was in a casino, and she was a bit uncomfortable having to walk her daughter through the casino to get there.
She said the nail business is something she always knew she wanted to do.
She graduated from Nail Tech & Beauty School in Oakdale in April 2009.
After graduation, she worked at a friend’s salon in Hastings, but the commuting distance was too great.
She will be available at The Hair Company limited hours during the winter, and her schedule will expand in the spring.
Bagley’s current hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
She is offering an introductory special of $5 off of any service for first-time customers during the month of January.
Bagley can be reached at The Hair Company (320) 395-2006.
