CARVER COUNTY, MN The City of Carver has offered Brent Mareck its city administrator position, according to Cindy Nash, who spoke on behalf of Carver.
Nash is the consulting city planner hired by Carver to help in the process of hiring the administrator.
Mareck confirmed that he was offered the job, but would neither confirm nor deny his acceptance of the position. More will be known this week.
If he accepts, the City of Carver is anticipating a May start date, Nash said.
Carver City Council members interviewed the top two finalists for the position Wednesday evening Mareck and Ron Moorse at a special city council meeting.
Moorse was Orono city administrator for 16 years, according to the Chaska Herald. Later he served as administrator for Arden Hills.
This is Mareck’s eighth year as city administrator in Winsted.
