Caucuses set for Tuesday, Feb. 2

WRIGHT, HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MN – Local citizens can be a part of the election process by attending the Minnesota precinct caucuses Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m., with registration beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Democrats and Republicans meet separately, giving citizens the chance to form party platforms and organize volunteers.

In order to vote, offer resolutions, or become a delegate at a precinct caucus, attendees must be eligible to vote in the 2010 general election, live in the precinct, and be in general agreement with the principles of the political party.

Precinct caucus locations are available at www.caucusfinder.sos.state.mn.us.

Citizens are encouraged to contact their political party directly for further assistance.

For the Minnesota-Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, call (651) 293-1200.

Republican party

Residents of various cities and townships will meet at different locations for the Republican precinct caucuses Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m.

• Delano, Franklin Twp. will meet at Delano Middle School.

• Montrose will meet at Montrose Elementary School.

• Loretto will meet at Orono High School.

Democrat party

Residents of various cities and townships will meet at different locations for the DFL precinct caucuses Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m.

• Delano, Franklin Twp. will meet at Delano High School.

• Montrose will meet at Citizens State Bank.

• Loretto will meet at Orono Middle School.
