COKATO, MN – Cowgirl Tuff Co., a designer and manufacturer of modern, upscale, western apparel for young women, will be moving to Cokato’s North Industrial Park.

Owners Lisa and Kirk Bollin are excited about the move, which they hope will take place by Aug. 1.

Having grown out of its current location on Bollin’s family ranch north of Darwin, they found the former Forsman Farms building to be a good fit. They will be leasing 20,000 of the 30,000 square feet available for manufacturing and offices.

“We’ve totally outgrown our facility,” Lisa said, even after adding on last July to their 8,000-square-foot facility.

The company has around 20 employees, but is growing, she said.

Here, the company will produce its line of T-shirts, sweatshirts, and other apparel, as well as embellishing and screen printing. They also import an increasingly popular line of jeans, Bollin said.

The company chose Cokato because of its central location for their employees, many of whom travel from the cities, Rockford, and Litchfield.

“It’s a nice central location and it was the right building for us,” she said.

Strictly wholesale, Cowgirl Tuff has a number of retailers in the area including Runnings Farm and Fleet in Hutchinson and coming soon to Litchfield; RCC Western stores, and Waconia Feed and Supply.
