WRIGHT, CARVER COUNTIES, MN Tuesday is the deadline for any township resident to file for a position that will be offered in the spring township elections.
The filing period started Dec. 29 and ends Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 5 p.m.
There is a filing fee of $2.
Generally, one supervisor and the treasurer positions are up, which feature three-year and two-year terms, respectively.
A few local exceptions are Hollywood, Camden, Bergen, and Winsted townships, which conducted elections in the past fall election.
Burton Horsch’s term as supervisor for Victor Township is up, as well as Sharon Glessing’s position as clerk.
As of Friday morning, no one had filed for the positions.
Residents of Victor Township are eligible for these positions, and may call Glessing for more information or to file at (320) 543-3702.
In Middleville, Jim Raymond’s term as supervisor is up, as well as Joey Berg’s term as clerk.
Berg and Raymond have both re-filed.
Those interested in filing should either call the township hall at (320) 543-3807, or call Berg at (612) 247-4348.
Woodland Township features two open seats. Supervisor Ken Pawelk’s position is up, as well as Clerk Gloria Janikula’s position.
Pawelk and Janikula have both re-filed.
