French Lake to accept gravel bids
Next month, French Lake Township will be accepting gravel bids, Clerk Rosanne Peterson said.
At the April meeting, the French Lake Township board appointed board positions for 2010. All positions stayed the same, with Mike Granquist as chair, Paul Erickson as vice chair and deputy clerk.
The official newspapers for French Lake Township will continue to be the Enterprise Dispatch and the Annandale Advocate.
Kingston Twp. to inspect roads
Kingston Township officials will be doing a road tour Friday, April 30 to inspect the township roads, Clerk Gail Schiefelbein said.
At the April township meeting, the board awarded the gravel bid to McCarthy Gravel, Inc. in Litchfield, and awarded the lawn care bid to Neil Bonde of Bonde Lawn Service in Dassel.
Kingston Township will also be doing dust coating at half the cost to residents for a 30-foot by 18-inch section.
Stockholm special meeting April 28
Stockholm Township will have its board of equalization meeting Wednesday, April 28 at 3:30 p.m. at the township hall, Clerk Diane Johnson said.
“If residents want to appeal their property taxes, they can come to this meeting,” she said.
Township officials will be conducting a road review following the meeting.
The board is planning a meeting to discuss town hall options, Johnson said, but a date hasn’t yet been set.
Another meeting Stockholm Township residents are invited to is a Wright County land use plan meeting Tuesday, April 27, at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School commons area.
At the April meeting, the board tabled gravel bids until the May meeting.
Residents who would like dust coating need to place an order and have payment in by Friday, May 7, Johnson added.
