Dassel Twp. to start tarring in July
Dassel Township’s 2010 road projects will begin after the 4th of July, Clerk Karin Colberg said.

Overlay will be done to portions of roads 258, 738, 250, 240, and 246. Tarring will be done to portions of roads 273, 692, 705, and 743.

“Anyone who lives on the roads that are being tarred can have their driveways paved at the same time,” Colberg said. There is a charge for the service, she added.

Darwin Twp. July meeting change
The next Darwin Township meeting has been changed to Tuesday, July 13 at 7 p.m., Clerk Hildur Carlson said.

Stockholm discusses town hall
“We’re still looking at the township hall issue,” Clerk Diane Johnson said.

There will be a question on the November election ballot regarding funding for the new town hall.

Cokato Twp. to repair two roads
Cokato Township will soon be repairing parts of Morrison Avenue and 30th Street.

“They’ve got some spots that have been bad all spring,” Clerk Brad Morris said.

Also, the township has completed dust coating, and is still in the process of graveling.

Ellsworth installs new culvert
Ellsworth Township recently put in a new culvert near Lake Erie, because the old one had started to cave in, Clerk Gordy Seiffert noted.

At the May township meeting, the board discussed the need for additional gravel on roads, which will be determined by the township’s graderman by mid summer.

Also, the soft spots on 640th Street have been addressed, and completion of the project is underway.
