Middleville Township hears update on Hwy 12 land use plan

At the Middleville Township meeting, board members heard an update from Stacy Marquardt of Wright County Planning and Zoning regarding the Wright County Highway 12 corridor land use proposal.

“She said that there has not been much opposition to this point,” Clerk Joey Berg noted. “However, our board had questions regarding gravel pits under the new land use plan.”

The corridor includes the townships of Cokato, Franklin, Marysville, Middleville, Stockholm, Victor, and Woodland, as well as the cities of Cokato, Delano, Howard Lake, Montrose, and Waverly. For more information about the plan, go to www.co.wright.mn.us/department/pandz/lupushwy12.asp.

In other news, Middleville Township is done hauling gravel for the season, Berg added.
