Hollywood Twp. sets cleanup day
Hollywood Township’s cleanup day will be Saturday, May 1 from 8 a.m. to noon, Clerk Becky Burns said.

The township board conducted a budget meeting last Monday. During the meeting, the board reviewed last year’s expenditures, Burns said.

Victor Township changes meeting
The next regular Victor Township meeting has been changed to Thursday, March 4 at 8 p.m. at the Victor Township Hall, Clerk Sharon Glessing said.

Middleville Twp. supervisor retires
Virgil Birkholz recently resigned from his position as Middleville Township supervisor, due to health reasons, Clerk Joey Berg said.

Birkholz had one year left in his term, and Walt Barlow has been appointed to take his place.

Camden Twp. discusses fire board
At the Feb. 11 Camden Township meeting, members of the New Germany Fire Department discussed the proposed 2011 budget with the township board, Clerk Roger Sauerbrey said.

“We would like to see a fire board started with the City of New Germany,” Sauerbrey noted.

The fire board would allow the townships served by the New Germany Fire Department to meet once a year or as needed with the City of New Germany to discuss the budget, the purchase of new equipment, and other operating items, Sauerbrey explained.

Bergen ok’s liquor license renewal
At the Feb. 11 Bergen Township meeting, the board approved a liquor license renewal request for the Lester Prairie Sportsmen’s Club, Clerk Amy Meyer said.

Winsted Twp. sets board of appeal
The board of appeal meeting for Winsted Township is set for Tuesday, April 20 at 7 p.m., Clerk Susan Goebel noted.

Township residents will have the opportunity to review and correct assessments for 2010. Anyone who has a complaint is asked to attend the meeting.

Marysville adopts dog ordinance
Marysville Township adopted Wright County’s dog ordinance at its meeting last Monday, according to deputy clerk Kathy Ronning.

The board received Wright’s County’s five-year highway improvement plan, which has been made available to residents.

Marysville Township also reviewed a conditional use permit for Ross Danielson, Ronning noted.
