Bearers of fruit

“The deeds my Father gave me to do, these speak on my behalf and show that the Father has sent me.” John 5:36

Abraham Lincoln wrote, “Of all the forms of charity in the hospitals, those of some Catholic sisters were the most efficient. More lovely than anything I have ever seen in art are the pictures of those modest sisters going among the suffering and the dying. They were veritable angels of mercy.”

As the deeds of sisters say something very special about them, so the deeds of Jesus say something very special about Him.

This raises a question: What one thing above all others do my deeds say about me?

“Every tree is known by the fruit it bears; you do not pick figs from thorn bushes or gather grapes from bramble bushes.” Luke 6:44

What kinds of fruit am I bearing this Advent?
