Most of us like to inhale and absorb the fresh cool air on a fall day. The fall season sends us a message. It stimulates and excites us. It visibly shows us that we’re in the midst of seasonal change.
The squirrels are busy gathering food for the long winter months ahead of them. The gardeners are busy canning or freezing, anything from vegetables to preserves. The pumpkins are hidden under the green vines ready to show off their brilliant orange color.
The camouflaged hunters are out there giving it their best shot at the geese and ducks.
The farmers are getting anxious to get into the fields for harvest bounty.
The flowers are slowly closing and giving us that message of seeing us next summer.
Families are going on road trips to view nature’s beautiful leaves on the trees. It’s amazing how color brings on that ray of beauty to our surroundings.
During the day we open our windows for a little fresh air and then, as night time comes, we slowly close the windows to stay warm.
Then, there will be some of us who will be waiting for that Indian Summer day, to technically announce to us that we’re done with summer and now are in the transition of the fall season.
Fall is a wonderful time of the year and gives us so much beauty to be thankful for.
