The 2012 general fund of $55,000 is $5,000 less than last year, and the $200,000 road and bridge fund is $30,000 less than last year. The fire protection fund remained the same, at $59,000.

At Camden Township’s regular meeting March 10, the board renewed the fire contract with the city of New Germany for 2012, in the amount of $28,935 (an $846 decrease from 2011).

Bergen Twp. approves lower levy
Bergen Township decided to decrease road and bridge funding by $20,000 and keep other funding the same in 2012, Clerk Amy Meyer noted.

The road and bridge levy amount is $170,000, the general fund is $30,000, and fire protection is $35,000.
