McLEOD, CARVER COUNTIES, MN Three area townships have updates this week:
Special meeting Aug. 25 in Bergen Township
A special meeting in Bergen Township has been set for Thursday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. to discuss frost boils on 165th and 170th avenues.
At the regular August meeting, the oath of office was administered to Angela Leverich, the incoming Bergen Township treasurer.
Also, the board approved replacing a culvert on Zero Avenue.
Hollywood Twp. maintenance employee resigns
At Hollywood Township’s August meeting, township maintenance employee Charles Burns gave his two-week notice.
At the September meeting, board members will be discussing how to fill the position, considering another full-time person, or possibly two part-time people.
In other business, the board discussed purchasing a 1-ton truck to use for plowing, sanding, and inspecting roads.
Ditch guidelines in Camden Twp.
The Camden Township board has developed guidelines for groups that clean area road ditches. For a copy of the guidelines, contact Clerk Roger Sauerbrey.
“The request needs to be made by Jan. 1, 2012, to do the spring cleanup,” Sauerbrey noted.
