The first of my gospel CD albums has been released, with a kick-off Oct. 29.
John Mons from KDUZ radio station in Hutchinson gave it his best shot to send, “A Halo and a Set of Golden Wings,” out into the listening radio public ear. To HillTop Records of California, it was a song that was unanimously voted on by, including the executive producer, Tom Hartman. It was a wonderful project to work on, and the musicians enjoyed playing the music.
I wrote the lyrics and music, while Kathy Rider was contracted to sing the song. She sang with emotion from within, beautifully touching the heart and soul of anyone who listens to it.
The lyrical song originates from the wooden cross at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, where I attend regularly.
I had no difficulty writing the lyrics for this song, as I structured the words around Jesus and the wooden cross.
The compact disc album, recorded by HillTop Records, is on the “GLORY” CD, which has already been shipped to targeted stores and radio stations.
The Christmas CD, also published by HillTop Records, will be released soon.
