Tickets are on sale now for the Dassel-Cokato Arts Association’s holiday show, “At Christmas,” which hits the stage Friday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.
DC Arts Association Executive Director Colleen Compton describes “At Christmas” as being a unique blend of family-fueled comedy and drama, brilliantly written and performed by three alumni of Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop; as well as a live, six-piece band featuring one of the Twin Cities’ favorite front men, Mick Sterling.
Compton saw this show two years ago at the Midwest Arts Conference and said the music is great, as well as the acting.
What drives “At Christmas” are the stories and the music, which relate to an audience of all ages.
The 90-minute show is a reflection of what many holidays are like for all families funny, poignant, and heartwarming.
These reflections will be displayed theatrically while A Brave New Workshop’s musical director, Peter Guertin leads the band with his own original score, along with Sterling leading his band as they perform surprisingly fresh interpretations of Christmas favorites.
