WAVERLY, MONTROSE, MN Dance and dine the night away this Saturday at Waverly Village Hall, 201 4th Street.
The Montrose-Waverly Chamber of Commerce’s Fall Harvest Dinner & Dance will start with dinner from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by dancing from 7 to 11 p.m.
“This is our third one,” chamber president Melissa Morris said. “We have a DJ who’s doing oldies but goodies, like polka and hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s.”
The pork roast dinner, catered by the Waverly Café, will include garlic mashed potatoes, garden medley vegetables, milk, and more. Beer and wine will be available through the local Lions clubs.
“The event is open to anybody,” Morris said. “A lot of people from the community walk over. We usually get anywhere from 100 to 200 people.”
Tickets are $15 each, and can be purchased at Citizens State Bank, Morris Financial, the Waverly City Hall, or at the door.
Proceeds are given to the city of Waverly for improvements to Waverly Village Hall.
“More than anything else, we want to open up Village Hall like it used to be,” Morris said.
The Fall Harvest Dinner & Dance is also a fun opportunity to get to know local business owners and other members of the community.
