DELANO, MONTROSE, LORETTO, MN The filing period has closed, with a number of local residents filing for various positions within local city government.
For the Delano City Council, Jon Sutherland, Betsy Stolfa, Dan Gustafson, John D. “Jack” Russek, and Harlan D. Lewis have filed for the two four-year positions.
The positions are presently held by Stolfa and Holly Schrupp; who filed for candidacy but has since withdrawn.
For Delano School Board, Amy Johnson, Sarah Baker, and Randy Durick have filed for the three four-year positions available on the school board.
For the three two-year positions, Corey Black, Carolyn Milano, Mark A. Larson, and Jonathan Ness have filed.
At the City of Loretto, current Council Member Clark Lohr and current Mayor Kent Koch have both filed for the mayor position.
For the two positions on the Loretto City Council, Brenda Daniels, Jeff France, and Cari Girk have filed. The council positions are presently held by Lohr and France.
In Montrose, current council member Scott Czanstkowski has filed for mayor, as has former mayor Charlie Nelson. Current Mayor Andy Kauffman indicated he would not be running again.
For city council, Sharon Knodel, Michelle Otto, Gary Krause, and Lloyd Johnson have filed for the two available positions.
These seats are presently held by Ryan Andreae and Scott Jensen, neither of whom filed.
