DELANO, MN A Delano man was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital after being struck by a van while riding a Honda 150 motorcycle west of Delano in Franklin Township last Monday, just after 4 p.m.
Roman Golovano, 27, of Delano, remained in satisfactory condition Thursday at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to hospital spokeswoman Christine Hill.
A 1996 Plymouth van, being driven by Timothy Speckel, 51, of Buffalo, was westbound on 72nd Street SE and turning into the driveway at 2109 72nd Street SE, when it struck Golovano. He was traveling eastbound on 72nd Street SE, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
Golovano was transported by Ridgeview ground ambulance from the scene to the Delano Theatre parking lot, where he was loaded into the helicopter and transported to HCMC with non-life threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
Those assisting the sheriff’s office at the scene included Delano Fire Department.
