MINNEAPOLIS, MN A former Delano resident was killed in Minneapolis Nov. 18, just after 10 p.m.
Gianni David Gossitt, 22, was found unresponsive in the alley behind 3905 Dupont Avenue North in Minneapolis, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
Gossitt died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest and his death is being considered a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Answering a call made to the Minneapolis Police Department, fourth precinct patrol officers found an unresponsive adult male victim, later identified by the medical examiner’s office as Gossitt, in the alley.
Medical personnel arrived and were unable to resuscitate Gossitt. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
Gossitt’s address at the time of his death was Lyndale Avenue North in Minneapolis.
According to his social media page, Gossitt graduated from North Community High School in 2008, and attended Art Institute International Minnesota.
The case is assigned to the Minneapolis Police Department’s Homicide Unit.

At this time, there are no suspects in custody.
