DELANO, MN – A Delano man was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) after being struck by a car while crossing St. Peter Avenue behind Coborn’s April 9 just after 8 p.m.

Russell Morkrid, 58, of Delano was struck by Justin Dugstad, 17, of Rockford, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office. Dugstad was driving a 2005 Honda Accord.

Morkrid was transported to HCMC by Ridgeview Ambulance.

Delano Fire Department assisted at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.

As of Thursday, Morkrid was listed in satisfactory condition at HCMC.
