Woodland Twp. supervisor honored for 15 years of service
Jim Trombley was honored recently for his 15 years of service as a Woodland Township supervisor.
Trombley decided not to seek re-election this year, and the new supervisor is Dan Domjahn.
At Woodland Township’s annual meeting, the board kept the 2013 levy at the same amount as the 2012 levy.
No rentals for Marysville Twp. Hall
At Marysville Township’s annual meeting, residents unanimously voted not to rent the Marysville Township Hall for public use, Clerk Kathy Ronning noted.
Also, the board had proposed an increased 2013 levy, which residents voted to increase further.
“The added increase is an attempt to improve our roads by dustcoating some of the high traffic and problem areas,” Ronning noted.
Middleville Twp. approves levy
After much discussion at Middleville Township’s annual meeting March 13, the levy for taxes payable in 2013 was approved at $286,000, Clerk Joey Berg noted.
The approved amount is about $50,000 higher than last year, mainly due to upcoming gravel needs and expected fuel costs.
Bergen Twp. board of appeal
The board of appeal for Bergen Township has been set for 7 p.m. Thursday, April 5 at the Bergen Township Hall.
The purpose of the meeting is to address issues residents have regarding property tax assessments.
Hollywood Twp. zoning unchanged
At Hollywood Township’s annual meeting, residents in attendance passed a motion recommending to the township board leaves the zoning ordinance unchanged for wooded lots. It is currently one lot per 40 acres, Clerk Becky Burns noted.
