McLEOD, WRIGHT COUNTIES, MN Two area townships have updates this week:
Winsted Twp. works on Dairy Ave.
The application of 500 yards of gravel to raise a portion of Dairy Avenue was approved at the July Winsted Township meeting. The purpose of the gravel is to help with flood issues.
In other business, the board approved a conditional use permit for Larry Michaletz for an addition to an existing structure, and heard from McLeod County commissioner candidate Nathan Schmalz.
Also, the township’s primary election will take place at the Winsted Fire Hall Tuesday, Aug. 14.
Meeting change in Middleville Twp.
Because of the Tuesday, Aug. 14 primary election, the Middleville Township meeting will take place Tuesday, Aug. 7, a week earlier than normal, Clerk Joey Berg noted.
