McLEOD, CARVER COUNTIES, MN Two area townships have updates this week:
Winsted Twp. discusses Acorn Ave.
At its October meeting, the Winsted Township Board discussed the ongoing problem of maintaining Acorn Avenue, Clerk Susan Goebel reported. The road has high traffic from residents near Winsted Lake. The township owns a half-mile of the road, from 245th Street north to the Wright County line.
In other business, the township is completing a road and sign inspection.
Watertown Township reminds residents to vote
Residents of Watertown Township are encouraged to vote for open positions on the Watertown Township Board from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6 at the Watertown Township Hall, 3580 County Rd. 10. Two supervisor positions are up, as well as the position of treasurer.
In other business, fiber optic panels were installed inside the Watertown Township Hall, as part of Carver County’s fiber optic project.
