COKATO, MN – The Cowgirl Tuff expansion project is ready to break ground after the Cokato City Council approved the final agreements with the developers during a special meeting Wednesday.

At the meeting, the council approved a developer’s agreement with Bollin Properties (Cowgirl Tuff) outlining the terms, conditions, and responsibilities of the developer and assuring the taxes will be paid as part of the tax-increment financing (TIF).

In addition, the council approved the low bid of $107,310 to Kuechle Underground for the water and sewer extensions related to the Cowgirl Tuff project on Swendra Boulevard in North Industrial Park.

It was noted that the closing of the project with the Cokato Development Corporation, in which the land is being purchased through TIF, would take place Friday.

Groundbreaking of the Cowgirl Tuff expansion project will take place today (Monday) at 2 p.m.

Cowgirl Tuff, which is currently located on Olson Boulevard in North Industrial Park, will move its corporate office and warehouse into a new 30,000 square-foot building on a six-acre parcel located on Swendra Boulevard, adjacent to the water tower.
