DASSEL, MN Snap Fitness in Dassel is the first business to be highlighted in a series the Enterprise Dispatch calls the Key to DC.
The Key to DC is an opportunity for businesses to advertise to the Dassel-Cokato community and surrounding area and share how they are the key to a particular service or product.
For example, the Enterprise Dispatch is the key to information and marketing services in the Dassel-Cokato community.
As for the key to fitness in DC, that would be Snap Fitness of Dassel, which offers a clean, safe, 24-hour facility for members to work on his or her fitness goals.
Members can rest assure they are in good hands with Randy Roiger, manager and personal trainer at the Dassel location.
Roiger has five years of personal training experience, which started in the Marine Corps and has continued with the fast-growing 24-hour fitness franchise based in Chanhassen.
With each new membership, members will receive a fitness assessment and consultation with Roiger. This typically takes 45 minutes to one hour.
This is so Roiger can learn about the member’s medical history, any health conditions, and fitness goals.
He also will conduct basic tests that include cardio, flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance.
“It allows me to give my advice to assist them in achieving any goals they may have,” Roiger said.
He also gives an introduction to the state-of-the-art machines to ensure new members know how to properly utilize them so they are safe and effective, Roiger explained.
Members of Snap Fitness in Dassel will experience Cybex exercise machines that allow them to workout in a safe manner, Roiger said, explaining these are not free weights. Members won’t have to worry about getting injured by dropping the weights because the Cybex machines use a pulley mechanism which catches the weights.
The machines also have a placard on them showing how to set up the machine, how to use it, and what muscles are benefitting.
There is a plethora of cardio machines including arc trainers, bikes, and treadmills. In addition, there is a large assortment of free weights.
Roiger can also give advice on what supplements members could take to achieve the results they are after. Currently, Snap Fitness is promoting True Star Health dietary supplements.
For those really serious about getting into shape, Roiger offers individual training sessions and a boot camp. Boot camp is a one-hour group strength and conditioning program that takes place for one hour Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6 a.m.
Getting fit for less in the new year

“Come in and see me,” Roiger said.
His hours are Mondays 7 to 10 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3 to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays 9 to 11 a.m. from January through March.
