McLEOD, WRIGHT COUNTIES, MN – Two area townships have updates this week:

Winsted Twp. reminds residents of snow plowing rules
Winsted Township residents are reminded that plowing snow into and across township right-of-ways is illegal, Clerk Susan Goebel noted.

Also, residents who plan to install a road approach must first obtain a permit from the township board. To be placed on the agenda, contact Goebel at (320) 485-3552.

The next meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. The annual audit will take place before the meeting, at 6:30 p.m.

Public hearing in Middleville Twp.
At the January Middleville Township meeting, a resident from the Smith Lake area expressed interest in providing gun training and gun dealing services, Clerk Joey Berg said. A public hearing regarding this possibility will take place during the next regular township meeting, Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.
