DELANO, MN Ken and Sara Beamish, owners of the Bohemian Wine Bar and Pub in Delano, announced Tuesday the establishment will close June 28.
The Beamishes plan to re-open this fall as South Fork Brewing Company and have launched a Facebook page for patrons to keep up with updates.
It is the plan for South Fork Brewing Company to open in the early fall.
“We are so excited to share the beer we make with everyone in the same way we have been able to share Minnesota craft beers this past year,” it was noted on South Fork Brewing Company’s Facebook page.
Sara Beamish said the “Bohemian” name is being used elsewhere and they are not able to continue using the name moving forward.
She said she feels the name they selected for the business, South Fork Brewing Company, is representative of Delano’s spirit of community. With Delano being on the south fork of the Crow River, the name seemed like a good fit.
A 3.5 barrel system for the brewery is on order, and Beamish said the plan is to start with about four beers on tap, and expand from there with smaller batches of different types of beer from the brewer they’ve hired.
They also plan to open the patio this fall in conjunction with the re-opening.
A website will also be launched in the near future, Beamish said.
South Fork Brewing Company will be located in a 6,000-square-foot building at 221 2nd St. N., across the street from city hall.
