Cokato Licensing to move locations, sells building

COKATO, MN – Cokato Licensing will soon have a new home – off Broadway, and onto Millard Avenue.

Owners Steven and Ramona Strolberg had been looking for a larger office space for their business and knew the former Saber Controls building was available. All they needed was a buyer for their current office building.

That’s when Jake Linder came into the picture.

Mike Seaberg of First National Bank in Cokato had been working with Linder, a 1999 Dassel-Cokato graduate interested in opening a financial planning office in town. Seaberg recommended talking with the Strolbergs because he knew of their wishes to move.

Linder began working with his uncle, Mark Linder, in December at Navigator Financial Group, a full-service financial planning firm in Hutchinson.

Jake and his wife, Bethany are a fourth-generation family living in Cokato, and he wanted an office closer to home.

“It’s going to be great,” Linder said, adding that not only is it a great location, but it’s a great space for the size of office he needs.

Cokato Licensing is expecting to be moved to its new location by April 1, after some necessary remodeling is done, Ramona explained.

“It will be exciting,” she said, adding that the space is about double the current location, which will add a lot more storage and working space.

Linder is anticipating a gradual transition beginning in April, in which he will likely work in the Cokato office a few days a week before moving there full time.
