When you’re looking for . . .
• something to do
• a new place to go
• specials or events at your favorite entertainment locations
. . . visit the new www.GoingOutHJ.com website a directory and collection of entertainment-related information from throughout the area.
It is especially built for mobile devices so you can search while on the go, but can be accessed from any computer with Internet service.
The directory includes location listings for 199 restaurants, 86 bars, 32 off-sale liquor stores, 19 coffee shops, and 12 delis, plus area wineries, bowling alleys, movie theatres, and performing arts venues.
The area covered includes Waconia, St. Bonifacius, Loretto, and Buffalo on the east; Litchfield and Hutchinson on the west, and everywhere in between.
Listings have been personally reviewed by staff members so accuracy is much better than any other directory compilations on the Internet.
Each listing includes the address and phone number, and you can locate the address on a map.
There are also categories and “tags” to further describe the type of business you are seeking. For example, restaurants are noted if they serve alcohol drinks, have outside seating (in summertime, of course), as well as menu types (pizza, Chinese, Mexican, fast food, etc.)
All businesses in the area are included, and they also have the option to upgrade their listing and provide additional information about special offers, events, etc.
Along with the GoingOutHJ.com website, there is also a monthly printed news section distributed free at participating locations, and ads will run weekly in the Herald Journal.
GoingOutHJ.com also includes an events section, which highlights specific happenings in the area that are advertised in Herald Journal publications.
This section includes live music, fundraising dinners or events, etc. anything that is advertised in Herald Journal publications.
It will be expanded to include community festivals and other events in the coming months.
Again, the site contains frequently updated, accurate entertainment information.
It can be reached directly at www.GoingOutHJ.com, or through a link on the Herald Journal home page at www.herald-journal.com.
