HOWARD LAKE, MN Leisha Diers of Howard Lake is no stranger to dance and dance class. She has danced since she was 12 years old, and taught dance classes for six years.
“Dance has always been my dream and passion,” Diers commented. “It seems like a good time to start a new class.”
The studio, Just for Kix, will be opening Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, and classes will take place in the community room above the library in Howard Lake.
Classes will be offered Tuesday nights for children age 3 to 18, and will include lessons in kick line.
“My goal is to add hip-hop and jazz dance within a couple years,” Diers said.
She also hopes to offer additional classes and hire an additional instructor in the future, she added.
Diers has been teaching dance through the Just for Kix franchise in Hutchinson for a few years, and recently decided to open her own branch.
Just for Kix is a company based in Brainerd, with more than 100 studios in the state.
