LESTER PRAIRIE, MN Lester Prairie School Board accepted the resignation of Board Member Matt Klitzke during last Monday’s meeting.
Klitzke is moving out of the district, making him ineligible to serve on the board.
Superintendent Mike McNulty said he hopes the board will fill the vacant position at its December meeting.
The board has the authority to appoint someone to fill the vacancy by a majority vote, McNulty noted.

In other business, the board:
• approved contracts for William Neubarth, varsity softball coach; Joe Kley, junior high girls’ basketball coach; Patrick Cole, assistant trapshooting coach; Joe Kley, varsity baseball coach; Kelly Elling, junior varsity softball coach; Mike Bjork, trapshooting coach; Rob Weber, head track coach; Mike Keglar, junior high boys’ basketball coach.
• noted the district’s annual truth-in-taxation hearing will take place during the Monday, Dec. 15 council meeting.
• heard a summary of the district’s audit, presented by Brian Haley of EideBailly. The board will formally accept the audit at its next meeting.
