DASSEL, MN - The Dassel Public Library, located at 460 3rd Street North in Dassel, now offers an iPad for use.
The library, which has four computers and a laptop, introduced the iPad as a feature to allow for users to be able access the Internet while not being constricted to sitting at a desk.
That is what librarian Liz DeYoung said was part of the thought process in bringing the iPad into the Dassel location of the Pioneer Library System.
“You can sit in a comfy chair,” DeYoung said.
DeYoung also noted that the iPad is stocked with applications, such as NASA and CNN and many more news apps. There are apps for children, like Garageband and Minecraft, as well.
“There are lots of different things that we can use it for. It’s something new that we are trying out,” DeYoung said.
