Double Chocolate Oatmeal Bars

Chocolate Filling

14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)

4 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate

1 tsp. vanilla

Crust

2 sticks (1 cup) butter, softened

1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 tsp. vanilla

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt

2 cups flour

2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal

1/2 cups M &M mini baking bits

Preheat oven to 350°. Line 13x9 inch baking pan with foil. Lightly coat with nonstick spray.

Filling: Microwave milk and chocolate in glass measure until chocolate melts and mixture is well blended and thickened. Stir in vanilla.

Combine next five ingredients in large bowl and beat until fluffy. Add flour; beat until blended; stir in oatmeal. Press 2/3 of mixture over bottom of pan. Spread with chocolate filling; then sprinkle with remaining oat mixture and baking bits.

Bake 350° 25-30 minutes until lightly browned. Cool
