Overnight Coffee Cake

2/3 cup margarine or shortening

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

2 eggs, beaten

1/2 tsp. salt

1 cup buttermilk or sour milk

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp. soda

1 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix together and pour into a 9x13 greased baking pan. Add topping and refrigerate 6-8 hours or overnight.

 

Topping

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Bake 350° for 30-40 minutes.
