Rolled White Sugar Cookies

3 cups flour

1 tsp. soda

2 tsp. cream of tartar

1 cup butter

salt

2 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, soda, tartar and salt. Cream in butter. Beat eggs, add sugar and vanilla. Add to flour. Chill dough for 2-4 hours. On floured board, roll out dough to a slight 1/4 inch in depth. Cut out cookies.

Bake 8-10 minutes, at 400 degrees F. Cookie edges will be slightly brown. Remove to cooling rack.
