Don't have to wait until your next trip to the mall for your favorite fruit drink. Think breakfast and after school snacks for finicky kids.
Flexible Fruit Smoothies
2 very ripe bananas
1 cup fruit juice blend
8 oz. fruit flavored low-fat yogurt
1/2 bag (8 oz.) individually frozen strawberries
Cut bananas into large chunks. Place in blender. Add fruit juice, yogurt and strawberries.
Blend on medium-low or pulse until well blended. Stir midway to ensure all of the fruit is pureed. Serve at once. Makes four servings.
Hints: Instead of watching bananas slowly overripen and then disposing of them, freeze very ripe bananas. Peel, cut in half and pop them into a plastic freezer bag.
