Tom and Jerry

12 eggs, pasteurized

1 pound powdered sugar, approximate

Four drops oil of cloves

Six drops oil of cinnamon.

Separate eggs. Beat egg whites with heavy-duty mixer to foam (very dry). Set bowl aside. In large mixing bowl, beat egg yolks until lemon yellow. Very slowly add powdered sugar until the mixture starts to ball up on the beater. Use spatula to clean sides of the bowl. Adding the powdered sugar will take several minutes.

After adding as much sugar as possible, add flavorings. A toothpick held against the opening of the bottle will help.

Fold in beaten egg whites. Refrigerate unused batter.

To serve: Fill mugs 1/3 to 1/2 full with batter. Add 1/2 shot of rum or brandy. Slowly fill with boiling water. Stir and enjoy.
