Cranberry Pie and Sauce

3 cups raw cranberries

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup shortening

1/2 cup chopped nuts

1/2 cup melted butter

2 eggs

3/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup butter

1 cup flour

Butter 10-inch pyrex pie plate. Spread cranberries on bottom and sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup nuts. Beat eggs well and add sugar. Melt butter and shortening and add to egg and sugar mixture. Add flour, beat well with mixer. Pour over cranberries and bake at 325 degrees for one hour.


1 cup brown sugar

2/3 cup cream

1/4 cup butter

Boil together a few minutes, pour over pie, serve warm.
