Southern Pecan Pie

3 whole eggs

1 cup white syrup

1 cup sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1 1/4 tsp salt

2 T. melted butter

1 1/2 cups pecan pieces

9" single pie crust, unbaked

Preheat oven 400°. Beat together all ingredients except pecans. Stir in nuts and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 400° for 15 minutes. Lower heat to 325° for 45 minutes. Cool. Serve with whipped cream or topping.
