Beef Burgundy

2 lb. round steak

3 oz. can mushrooms

1 T. flour

1 env. dry onion soup mix

1 3/4 cup water

1/2 cup dry red wine

Preheat oven to 350. Cut steak into 1-inch cubes. Brown meat slowly in skillet sprayed with vegetable pan spray.

Transfer to casserole with tight-fitting lid. Add remaining ingredients. Stir well. Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours. Remove, cover, and bake 15 minutes longer.

Serve on toast, rice or noodles.

Crockpot or slow cooker may be substituted, but extend cooking time to 3-4 hours.
