Busy Day Meatballs

The following recipe fits the bill as a main dish entree or appetizer by downsizing the size of the meatballs.

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 tsp. salt

Pepper to taste

1 egg slightly, beaten

1/2 cup soft bread crumbs

Mix together the above ingredients. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place in baking dish and pour sauce over meat. Bake in 350° oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Baste meatballs once or twice.

1 cup catsup

1 T worcestershire sauce

2 T vinegar

2 T brown sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

Dash of pepper

Mix sauce ingredients and pour over meatballs. Dish may be prepared and refrigerated until baking time. About 6 servings.

Option: Purchase ready made meatballs from the grocer's frozen food section and add sauce mixture.
